Watch HER Build is a growing community of women in business in Tulsa who believe there’s value in sharing what we’re learning, talking honestly about what we’re experiencing, and helping each other move forward. It’s a place for conversation, connection, and access to the people, knowledge, and resources that help us build stronger businesses.
How It Started
After years of working as a therapist, I knew what it was like to build a business largely on my own. My work happened behind closed doors, and there wasn’t much opportunity to talk openly about the business itself. As I began exploring other interests, creative work, and business opportunities, I found myself wanting more conversations with women who were building things of their own.
Watch HER Build grew out of that desire. What started as an idea for bringing women together has grown into a community of more than 50 women, with several successful gatherings already behind us and more to come.
Every woman building a business has a story worth hearing. We talk about the parts of entrepreneurship that don’t always make it into the highlight reel. The fear, doubt, risk, uncertainty, difficult decisions, and the responsibilities we carry outside our businesses. But we also talk about what we’re learning, what’s working, what we’d do differently, and what it takes to keep building.
Storytelling is where we begin. Conversation is how we learn from each other.
Connection matters. So does what we do with it. Through gatherings, workshops, shared resources, and introductions, we’re creating opportunities for women to support each other in practical ways.That might mean finding a trusted referral, meeting a potential collaborator, learning a new business skill, or getting insight from someone who’s already navigated the challenge you’re facing.
And as the community grows, so will the conversations. From getting a business off the ground to strengthening operations, building teams, and growing beyond what one person can manage alone. We’re here to share what we know, learn what we don’t, and make room for each other to grow.
