Therapy with Jenn
Welcome, love.
Therapy is an opportunity to take an honest look at what's happening in your life, your relationships, and the patterns that keep showing up. My approach goes beyond talking about the problem. We'll work to understand what's happening, where it comes from, how it's affecting you and what you can begin doing differently.
I bring clinical experience, curiosity, and a direct, relational approach to our work. You'll have space to process, ask questions and figure things out, but I'll also challenge you to take what we're learning and put it into practice.
My Credentials
BA in Journalism
University of Central Oklahoma
MS in Clinical Psychology
Northeastern State University
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
More than 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
My Approach
Understanding the patterns. Practicing something different.
I believe effective therapy requires more than insight. Understanding why you respond the way you do matters, but so does learning how to respond differently.
My work is relational, collaborative, and informed by several therapeutic approaches. Depending on your needs, we may explore your thoughts, emotions, physical responses, personal history, and relationship patterns.
The approaches I draw from include:
Polyvagal Theory
Understanding how your nervous system responds to stress and how those responses influence your emotions, behaviors, and relationships.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Exploring the different parts of yourself, including the protective patterns and internal conflicts that influence your decisions and reactions.
Somatic Therapies
Paying attention to the physical experience of emotions and stress, and developing greater awareness of how your body responds.
Attachment-Based Therapy
Understanding how early relationships and past experiences influence trust, connection, intimacy, and conflict in your current relationships.
Spiritual Integration
When meaningful to you, making room for your faith, spiritual beliefs, and values as part of the therapeutic process.
Who I Work Best With
My people are...
I work best with people who are willing to be curious about themselves and take an active role in the process.
My work is especially focused on:
- Couples and relationships: Communication, intimacy, recurring conflict, connection, and navigating the responsibilities of building a life together.
- Identity and life transitions: Understanding who you are, what you want, and how to navigate changes in your relationships, priorities, and sense of self.
- Ambitious adults and entrepreneurs: Managing the demands of careers, businesses, family, and relationships while making room for a life you actually enjoy.
- Personal and relational patterns: Exploring the expectations, behaviors, and experiences that influence how you show up for yourself and others.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. But I do ask that you come willing to participate, reflect and practice what we’re working on between sessions. Therapy is collaborative. I’ll bring my experience and clinical knowledge. You’ll bring your experiences, your goals, and a willingness to engage in the work.
Getting Started
Ready to see if we're a good fit?
I personally coordinate new client inquiries and consultation calls through email.
Here’s how we’ll begin:
- Explore your options. Visit the Individual Therapy or Couples Therapy page to learn more about each service and determine which best fits your needs.
- Send me an email. Let me know which service you’re interested in and briefly what you’re hoping to work on.
- We’ll coordinate a consultation. We’ll discuss your needs, availability, and whether my services are a good fit.
- Complete your intake paperwork. If we decide to move forward, you’ll receive the necessary forms, policies, and consent information before beginning therapy.
- Begin our work. Our initial sessions will focus on assessment, understanding your concerns, and developing treatment goals together.
I currently offer virtual appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays for clients located in Oklahoma. Ready to get started? Email me directly, and we’ll take it from there.
If you’re ready to move beyond survival, into something deeper and truer, let’s talk.
